Galala University (GU) recently hosted the largest engineering competition ever held for school students on its campus. The event, aptly named “Engineering IDOL,” aimed to inspire and empower young minds while fostering innovation and creativity.
Over a week, talented school students between the ages of 14 and 17 showcased their skills and passion for engineering by presenting a total of 10 impressive projects. These young innovators demonstrated their abilities and left the audience in awe with their ingenuity and creativity.
As the competition progressed, the intensity grew. Twelve finalists competed, each with their outstanding projects. A distinguished panel of esteemed professors and engineers from GU meticulously evaluated each project, considering the creative spark and innovative potential it exhibited.
The efforts and dedication of these young engineers did not go unnoticed. Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, the President of GU, presented well-deserved prizes totaling 110,000 L.E. to the winners. In his speech, he commended their ingenuity and encouraged them to pursue their dreams in the field of engineering.
