GU Achieves Top Ranks in Fuel Africa 2024 Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition!

GU has celebrated a significant achievement as 10 students from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Artificial Intelligence Science Program secured fifth and seventh places in the Fuel Africa 2024 Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Competing against 114 teams from over 40 universities across Africa, our students showcased exceptional innovation and teamwork.

The Fuel Africa competition aims to integrate and engage students from various disciplines and African universities to find innovative solutions to health challenges, climate change, and the development of new startups in the healthcare sector.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, GU President, congratulated the students for their outstanding performance, emphasizing the university’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to all its students. He highlighted the importance of such competitions in enhancing the skills and capabilities of students, preparing them to represent the university honorably in various local, regional, and international forums.

Dr. Amira Abdelmotaal, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, praised the participating students for their excellence in competitions and various activities. She noted that these experiences significantly contribute to honing their skills, investing their energies, and encouraging positive participation. Dr. Abdelmotaal emphasized that the educational journey at Galala University extends beyond theoretical knowledge to practical applications, ensuring a well-rounded development of its students.
