The Faculty of Pharmacy at GU, under the leadership of Dean Prof. Amira Abdelmotaal, recently organized a significant scientific visit from Prof. Tarek M Shaarawy, Head of the Glaucoma Unit and Glaucoma Surgery Research Group at University of Geneva Hospitals.
The visit commenced with a productive meeting involving the deans and faculty members of the healthcare sector. This was followed by an insightful seminar delivered by Dr. Tarek titled “Challenges in Medical Education.” The seminar saw active participation from medical sector students and faculty members, who engaged enthusiastically with Dr. Tarek’s presentation.
Concluding the visit, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, GU Presdient, provided valuable insights and recommendations during a comprehensive tour of the Galala University campus. The visit was highly informative, paving the way for future collaborations in medical education and research.
We are also pleased to announce that Prof. Tarek M Shaarawy has been appointed as an adjunct professor at Galala University, further strengthening our academic and research endeavors.
