GU Collaborates with BigBang Advertising for Academic and Industry Integration

Galala University has collaborated with BigBang Advertising, a leading agency in branding, creative solutions, and marketing, part of the global Media Turtles group in the Middle East. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs, providing students with hands-on experience in the graphic design field and familiarizing them with the creative processes and market requirements.

The collaboration covers various areas, as agreed in the signed protocol. Both parties will develop comprehensive cooperation in fields of mutual interest, including the exchange of experts and specialists. They will also organize and participate in events, seminars, and training courses, and provide summer training opportunities for students in GU’s Graphic Design program. BigBang Advertising has also participated in GU’s job fair, enhancing opportunities for students to connect with potential employers.

Previously, the collaboration launched the TAG brand, an Egyptian brand for designing and printing t-shirts with a unique and contemporary visual style that embodies rich cultural and artistic heritage. The aim was to encourage students to explore legends and folklore in Arab heritage and inspire their designs, promoting cultural identity and inspiring generations to appreciate and rediscover their heritage through captivating visual storytelling.

The invitation was open to students from the Faculty of Art and Design at Galala University, regardless of their specialization. The belief was that every contribution carries artistic and cultural value, and the awards would not only recognize the design quality but also the positive interaction and active contribution towards the common goal of spreading a message of humanity through art and design.

Following the signing of the protocol, the best designs were announced and the winners were honored by the university president and the creative director of BigBang. The winning designs will be produced and sold under the TAG brand. All participants received certificates of appreciation from Galala University and BigBang, recognizing their efforts and creativity.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, emphasized the importance of collaboration and integration between different fields such as business administration and arts, and their role in providing artistic and administrative services to the business sector.
