Faculty members and students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Galala University participated in the Fourth Al-Ahram Pharmaceutical Conference on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The conference was led by Prof. Dr. Adel El-Adawy, Former Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Galala University, under the theme “Confronting Challenges and Promoting Innovation.”
Dr. Amira Abdel-Mutaal, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, gave a presentation in the fifth session titled “Developing Pharmaceutical Education to Keep Up with the Age and the Needs of Modern Industries.” Her session focused on:
• Developing skills and training for innovative pharmaceutical industry professionals
• Updating pharmaceutical curricula to include modern technologies
• Strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and the pharmaceutical industry in research and development
• Keeping pace with global advancements in the pharmaceutical field
At the end of the conference, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University, was honored by the conference chairman with a special award for his significant contribution to the event’s success.
