Galala University proudly presented its first theatrical performance, “Our Sweet Dreams,” a social play performed entirely by students from various faculties under the supervision and organization of the Student Activities Department.
The performance took place on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Faculty of Arts & Design Theater at Galala University. The play explores the dreams, challenges, and aspirations of young people, highlighting the contrasts between generations in their thinking and ambitions. Through a series of dramatic scenes inspired by the students’ personal experiences, the performance masterfully blends seriousness and humor, creating a purposeful and engaging artistic narrative.
“Our Sweet Dreams” aims to foster communication and understanding between generations while encouraging students to freely express their ideas and aspirations. It underscores the importance of art as a medium of connection and dialogue among students, academics, and administrators, creating an inspiring theatrical experience that reflects the inclusive and creative spirit of Galala University.
The cast featured an impressive lineup of student talents, including Saif El-Din Mohamed, Basmala Ibrahim, Kenzy Amr, Mayar Fouad, Daniel Maged, Lujain Samir, Mahmoud El-Gazzar, Nader Walid, Yasmine Amr, Mohamed Siddiq, Sameh Atef, Elaf El-Saeed, Jumana Sami, Samir El-Barbary, Ashjan Ramzy, Arsani Ekramy, Youssef Saeed, Ahmed El-Koush, Habeeba Emad, Mira Youssef, Mahmoud Ehab, Habeeba Abdel Fattah, Mohamed Basyouni, Mustafa Walid, and Mustafa Ezzat.
The creative contributors behind the performance included writer Ahmed El-Malawani, music composer and performer Mina Atta, and set designer Dr. Fakhry Al-Azzizi, supported by a talented team of students from the Faculty of Arts and Design, including Hala Saim, Ghada Habib, Kenzy Amr, Salma Mohamed, Shahd Abdel Hamid, Mervat Farag, Mohamed El-Sayed, Abdel Rahman Khamis, Mazen Mohsen, Habeeba Abdel Ghani, Jenny Abdel Aal, and Hoda Karam.
The play was brought to life under the general supervision of Mohamed El-Luli from the Student Activities Department, with Sameh Abdel Aziz serving as the executive director and Mohamed Nashat as the director.
