As part of its ongoing collaboration with Ahl Masr Burn Hospital and its commitment to preparing nursing students for technological advancements and labor market demands, the Faculty of Nursing at Galala University recently organized a workshop titled “Informatics Applications in Hospitals.”
The workshop was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan El Ghonemy, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Rania Farag, Program Director, and Dr. Doaa Fawzi El-Boudy, Lecturer of Nursing Informatics. A total of 47 nursing students from Galala University participated in the training session, which was conducted by the Continuous Training Unit team at Ahl Masr Burn Hospital.
The session began with an introduction to nursing informatics, covering its concept, importance, and various applications in modern healthcare. Students were then given hands-on training using simulation technology to learn how to operate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems effectively. The training also included an interactive Q&A session where students’ inquiries were addressed by the experts.
Following the workshop, students were taken on a guided tour of the hospital to explore its various departments. The visit concluded with commemorative photos and a generous cash donation from the students to support burn patients receiving treatment at Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, extending their heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery.
