Galala University Hosts Workshop on Advanced Techniques in Physical Therapy

As part of its commitment to providing exceptional educational and training opportunities, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at Galala University recently organized a workshop aimed at enhancing students’ skills and expanding their knowledge of cutting-edge techniques in physical therapy.
The workshop, led by Dr. Borislav Ivanov, a renowned physical therapy expert from Bulgaria, centered on conservative treatment methods for spinal deformities, including scoliosis. This initiative was conducted in collaboration with Scoliopro Egypt and coordinated with Prof. Dr. Wael Hassan, an American expert in physical therapy.

A key highlight was the presentation of the Shroth Method, a globally recognized approach for treating scoliosis, which included insights into the development of a 3D compensatory device. This cutting-edge technology, introduced by the Shroth Method organization, was discussed as a means to revolutionize patient care in Egypt. The workshop was supervised by Prof. Dr. Enas Radwan, Program Coordinator, and Prof. Dr. Sahar Mohamed Adel, Course Coordinator, from the Faculty of Physical Therapy.

The workshop spanned five consecutive days, offering in-depth training on the latest physical therapy techniques. A special lecture by Dr. Borislav Ivanov provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of how to utilize advanced technologies in the production of the 3D compensatory device.

Moreover, a lecture specifically for students was held, showcasing the Shroth Method’s applications in treating scoliosis. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with a dedicated Q&A segment allowing students to engage with the expert and deepen their understanding.

Galala University takes pride in organizing such impactful events that not only enrich the learning experience but also position its students at the forefront of advancements in physical therapy.
