Galala University had a prominent presence at the Second Annual International Conference of the Egyptian Scientific Society for Respiratory Therapy, held from December 11 to 13, 2024, at the Princess Fatma Academy for Medical Education in Cairo.
Prof. Dr. Adel El-Ged, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, played a key role at the conference, delivering the opening speech, chairing a session, and moderating key discussions on international cooperation and the labor market needs for respiratory therapy. Prof. Dr. Yasser El-Sayed also contributed significantly by presenting a lecture on “The Role of Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Thoracic Surgery Before Operations” and chairing several sessions that focused on the latest developments in respiratory therapy.
Additionally, Assistant Professor Dr. Marwa Ahmed Khairy presented a session titled “Simulation-Based Education in Respiratory Care” and chaired important sessions during the event. Assistant Professor Dr. Doaa El-Demerdash participated as a speaker in the session on “Airway Disinfection in Different Specializations” and chaired several interactive sessions that engaged participants in meaningful discussions.
Students from Galala University’s Respiratory Therapy Technology program were actively involved in the conference’s workshops and sessions, demonstrating their commitment to learning and professional growth.
