As part of efforts to foster communication between executive leadership and university youth, Major General Tarek Hamed El-Shazly, Governor of Suez, delivered a significant lecture today at Galala University. The lecture, titled “The Impacts of Current Global Events on Development in Egypt and Our Responsibilities Towards Them,” shed light on critical challenges and opportunities shaping Egypt’s future.
The Governor was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, President of Galala University; Dr. Ehab Hassanein, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Rana Zeidan, Secretary-General. The event was also attended by faculty deans, program directors, academic staff, and a large gathering of students.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi emphasized the importance of the lecture in raising student awareness about global developments and their implications for Egypt. He commended the collaboration between Galala University and executive authorities in delivering well-rounded educational experiences.
During the lecture, Major General El-Shazly discussed Egypt’s strategic role in the region and the wide-ranging effects of global political and economic changes. He highlighted how international transformations impact key sectors such as industry, energy, and agriculture, outlining the challenges these shifts pose for sustainable development.
The Governor urged students to combat misinformation by relying on credible sources and focusing on their academic and professional growth to play a vital role in shaping Egypt’s future.
