On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing at Galala University, in coordination with the Faculty of Pharmacy, organized a health awareness event on campus. The initiative focused on educating the university community about liver diseases, diabetes, heart attacks, and effective prevention strategies.
Two student groups were formed to conduct comprehensive health assessments in front of the Faculty of Pharmacy building. These assessments included blood pressure measurements and random blood sugar level checks.
In addition to the health checks, the event featured educational lectures on: Preventing viral hepatitis infections, managing and preventing complications from high blood sugar and hypertension, recognizing and responding to cardiovascular emergencies.
The event witnessed significant engagement from students across various faculties, reflecting the growing interest in health and wellness initiatives.
