Demonstrating a strong commitment to scientific research and innovation, the Faculty of Nursing at Galala University took part in the 8th Student Conference organized by Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Medicine on February 22 and 23.

During the conference, GU nursing students presented two research papers that addressed critical topics in healthcare. The first study examined the level of awareness and attitudes of internship students toward the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, highlighting the increasing role of technology in modern medical practices. The second research paper explored the impact of energy drinks on nursing students at Galala University, shedding light on an important public health concern.

Adding to the university’s distinguished presence, Professor Dr. Rania Farrag was selected as a conference judge, reflecting Galala University’s growing influence in the field of scientific research and academic excellence. The judging committees praised the students for their active engagement and the high quality of their research, reinforcing their preparedness to contribute meaningfully to the healthcare sector.

The participation of GU’s nursing students in this conference aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by fostering innovative research that addresses pressing healthcare issues. It also supports SDG 4: Quality Education by providing students with opportunities to engage in scientific research, develop their academic skills, and prepare for future challenges in the medical field.
