The Faculty of Art and Design at Galala University recently celebrated the graduation of its first batch of students from the Interior Architecture and Graphic Design programs. The graduation projects were presented through an exhibition that highlighted several key themes, showcasing the students’ innovative and creative work.
The primary goal of the Interior Architecture program was to design projects aimed at scientifically, culturally, and touristically revitalizing the Galala region in the Suez Governorate. The projects included:
– Designing an Innovation Center affiliated with Galala University.
– Designing an Eco-lodge in the mountainous area.
– Designing the Galala Museum.
– Designing an Eco-tourism Resort.
The Graphic Design program focused on the social responsibility in the community by creating a unique city branding for the Suez Governorate. The main objective is to create an appealing image for tourists and investors, as well as strengthen local identity of local residents through the management and communication of the city image. The projects were evaluated by a distinguished panel of faculty members and an external judging committee from the Faculties of Fine Arts and Applied Arts.
The judging committee for the Interior Architecture program included:
– Prof. Dr. Hussein El Nabawy, Professor of Interior Design and Furniture at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, and former Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts.
– Prof. Dr. Ashraf Reda, Professor of Interior Architecture, Department of Decoration, Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, and former Vice Dean.
– Prof. Dr. Ehab Ezzat, Head of the Decoration Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, and former Vice Dean.
– Prof. Dr. Dina Fikry, Director of the Interior Design Program, Faculty of Art and Design, New Giza University.
The judging committee for the Graphic Design program included:
– Prof. Dr. Magdy Abdel Aziz, Professor in the Department of Advertising, Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, and former Egyptian Cultural Counselor in Austria.
– Prof. Dr. Nagwa El Adawy, Professor in the Department of Advertising, Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University.
– Prof. Dr. Amr Sami, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University.
– Prof. Dr. Maisoon Kotb, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University.
– Prof. Dr. Iman Osama, Professor in the Department of Graphics, Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University.
The exhibition featured projects that stood out for their innovative and advanced ideas. The students’ works were discussed and judged, showcasing their exceptional creativity and design skills.
