Galala University recently concluded the “Gen Z” program camp, a collaborative effort with support from the ISF (Innovation Support Fund). The event was highlighted by a visit from H.E. Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
During the visit, several participant teams, including “CMP”, “Ambassadors of Horus”, “Alimpo”, “Eco Power”, “Fix It”, and “Irregineers”, had the honor of presenting their innovative projects to Minister Ashour.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Shinawi, Gu President, welcomed H.E. Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour. In his speech, Prof. El Shinawi said that the participating students and professors benefited from the intensive workshops which aimed at transferring the experiences of specialists to the next generation of entrepreneurs.
In his address, Minister Ashour stressed the significance of integrating such extracurricular activities with education to foster innovation. The minister also acknowledged United Media for their invaluable contributions throughout the camp, emphasizing the projects’ regional impact.
Following the minister’s remarks, Dr. Hany Ayad, Executive Director of ISF, expressed his pride in the fund’s collaboration and support for higher education initiatives. Dr. Ayad elaborated on ISF’s commitment to nurturing innovation across Egyptian universities, citing the successful “Start-Up Olympics” program involving 1,200 teams from 65 universities earlier this year. He concluded with a promise that future editions of the “Gen Z” camp will showcase further advancements and investments in current projects.
