Students from the Faculty of Media Production at Galala University recently participated in a seminar titled “Safe Use of Communication Technology, Social Media, and Artificial Intelligence.” The event, organized by the Media Committee of the National Council for Women, was part of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development.”
The seminar featured insightful presentations from Ashraf Mufid, an expert in artificial intelligence, and Amal Alawi, Editor-in-Chief of the “Bwabet Masr EL Ann” website. Alawi emphasized that artificial intelligence is shaping the future of media and professional practices, urging responsible use to avoid potential harm from misuse and lack of awareness.
Mufid highlighted the importance of understanding AI tools that rely on algorithms and machine learning. He also provided practical training on key applications like image analysis and graph creation, helping participants gain hands-on experience with AI tools.
This seminar highlights the growing role of technology in various fields and reinforces the need for responsible and informed usage of digital tools.
