In June 2023, Galala University hosted the “Galala Day for Environmental Awareness.” Celebrated annually on June 5th, World Environment Day is organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to raise awareness and encourage action on pressing environmental issues.
“Galala Day for Environmental Awareness” featured a series of activities, workshops, and discussions aimed at educating participants about sustainable practices and the importance of protecting our planet. The university’s commitment to environmental stewardship was evident as it brought together students, faculty, and community members to collaborate on initiatives that promote sustainability.
