In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Galala University proudly announced this year’s theme: “Imaging a Better Tomorrow Series 1: Women’s Health is Future Wealth.” The event was hosted by the Program of Technology of Radiology and Medical Imaging within the Faculty of Applied Health Science Technology. With a focus on women’s health, this series highlighted the important role of medical imaging in advancing early detection and treatment, showcasing groundbreaking innovations that are transforming women’s healthcare.
Galala University collaborated with pioneering industry leaders Fujifilm Healthcare, Mindray, and IMed Healthineers for this event. We were honored to welcome top-notch speakers, including Professor Dr. Ahmed Elserafi from Meridian Healthcare and Professor Rasha Kamal from Baheya Foundation, who shared their insights on radiology’s impact on detecting and addressing critical women’s health conditions, particularly breast cancer.
As part of the event, the program director, Prof. Dr. Hend Galal Eldin along with renowned Radiology professors Dr. Hala Maghraby and Dr. Nesreen Radwan, offered complimentary health screenings for all female students, administrative staff, and academic staff. These screenings were available on the first two days of the event and included:
•Breast Ultrasound
•Pelvic Ultrasound
•Fetal Ultrasound (4D)
This event was an invaluable opportunity to learn from industry experts, explore the latest advancements in medical imaging, and join in the observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
