Beyond the Textbook: Industry Leaders Empower the Next Generation of GU Pharmacists

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Galala University is proud to announce an exciting collaboration between academia and industry designed to prepare our fifth-year Pharmacy students for success in the evolving healthcare landscape.

Renowned industry experts from the “Leaders of Tomorrow” initiative—including Dr. Ehab Youssef, Dr. Sameh Elbagoury, Dr. Tamer Abbas, Dr. Mohamed Swelam, Dr. Ahmed Kishta, Dr. Mohamed Elgharib, Dr. Hisham Sabry, and Dr. Karim Elbattawy—are delivering a transformative 14-week course titled “Pharmacy Skills and Patient Counseling.”

This specialized course emphasizes practical knowledge, focusing on leadership development, self-awareness, and career planning. By sharing their expertise, these professionals are equipping students with the skills needed to excel in patient care and make meaningful contributions to the healthcare sector.

In addition to the core faculty of “Leaders of Tomorrow,” the course features contributions from a diverse array of industry leaders, who bring unique insights and real-world challenges into the classroom. This enriching collaboration bridges the gap between academic theory and practical application, offering students a well-rounded and dynamic learning experience.

This initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 4: Quality Education
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
By fostering partnerships between academia and industry, Galala University is paving the way for a sustainable future, empowering our students, and advancing the healthcare sector.
