In line with our strategic approach, “Learning Together to Work Together,” Galala University is committed to fostering collaboration across health-related disciplines. As part of this initiative, the Faculty of Medicine hosted an engaging educational session last Wednesday, focused on Team-Based Learning (TBL) to enhance interprofessional training in the health sector.
The session, which centered on the topic of Chronic Bronchial Asthma, was designed as a student-centered learning experience facilitated by expert faculty members. Students from various faculties, including Medicine, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Applied Health Sciences, participated in the activity.
The innovative TBL approach emphasized group collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Students were divided into multidisciplinary teams, enabling them to learn from each other’s perspectives and work together to analyze case studies, discuss treatment options, and propose comprehensive care plans for managing Chronic Bronchial Asthma.
This session represents a significant step toward achieving our goal of integrating training between specialties and preparing students for the complexities of real-world healthcare environments. By promoting collaboration and shared learning, Galala University continues to lead the way in producing well-rounded, team-oriented healthcare professionals.
