Dr. D. Eldemerdash, an Editorial Board Member in the Journal of Perioperative & Critical Intensive Care Nursing, has demonstrated a robust research portfolio focusing on nursing education and practice. Through a series of studies, Dr. Eldemerdash has delved into diverse areas such as educational strategies and critical thinking dispositions among nursing students, the psychological factors influencing academic achievement, and the effectiveness of foot self-care educational programs for elderly populations. Additionally, Dr. Eldemerdash has investigated the impact of peer learning strategies, computer-based learning, and humor-based educational approaches on nursing students’ clinical performance, intellectual stimulation, and engagement. Moreover, Dr. Eldemerdash has explored the integration of modern technology, such as Web 2.0 tools, into nursing education, and has examined the implementation of analytic rubrics evaluation tools in medical-surgical nursing education. Furthermore, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Eldemerdash has contributed to understanding its ramifications on health-related quality of life, personal resilience, and academic performance difficulties among recovered patients in Egypt. Through this breadth of research, Dr. Eldemerdash continues to make significant contributions to advancing nursing education, pedagogy, and practice. 

Dr. Doaa El Demerdash has spearheaded numerous projects aimed at improving healthcare workforce development and ensuring quality assurance in nursing education. Collaborating with esteemed institutions like Jhpiego WHO and Johns Hopkins University, she focused on capacity building within the nursing sector. Dr. El Demerdash’s initiatives, including Continuous Development Qualifying for Accreditation and the Qualifying Project of ISO 9001/2008, underscore her commitment to advancing educational quality and accreditation processes. She also led efforts to enhance practical learning experiences for nursing students through projects like the development of a student assessment system and the construction of an OSCE laboratory. Dr. El Demerdash’s visionary approach is evident in proposals for innovative projects like a Virtual Reality Platform and the Establishment of a Center of Excellence for Research. Dr. Doaa El Demerdash is a distinguished figure in nursing education and administration, currently serving as assistant professor- department of anesthesia and ICU technology- Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology at Galala University. With previous roles as an Assistant Professor at Damanhour University, she has contributed significantly to faculty and leadership development. Dr. El Demerdash has held managerial positions in quality assurance units, showcasing her commitment to maintaining high educational standards. Additionally, she has been actively involved in various management boards, focusing on institutional improvement and community engagement.
