Biography

Professor Hassan’s career in chemistry spans both academic and research leadership roles, marked by significant contributions to the field. Currently serving as a chemistry professor in the basic sciences field at Galala University, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role.

Professor Hassan’s academic journey began at Ain Shams University (ASU), where he earned his BSc and MSc degrees. He furthered his education by completing his PhD through a joint supervision program between ASU and LEI du CNRS, France, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration.

Throughout his career, Professor Hassan has held various leadership positions, including serving as the head of the physical chemistry division at the Faculty of Science, ASU. He also contributed to the advancement of research as the director of the Photoenergy Centre at ASU, showcasing his expertise in the field of chemistry.

In addition to his academic and research roles, Professor Hassan is actively engaged in scholarly activities as a referee in esteemed organizations such as STDF, the Egyptian universities promotion committees, and the Egyptian Council of the Research Centre and Institutes (CRCI). His involvement as a referee underscores his commitment to maintaining high standards of research and scholarship within the scientific community.

Professor Hassan’s research contributions are substantial, with a total of 62 publications in internationally respected journals. Furthermore, his recognition by US-based Stanford University for six consecutive years (2019-2023) as one of the World’s Top 2% of the most-cited Scientists reflects the impact and significance of his research contributions in the field of chemistry.
