Dr. Akmal Abdelrahman is a distinguished professional in Mural Design and decorative arts, with over 25 years of experience in the field. He holds a Ph.D. in Mural Design from the Research Institute of Media, Art, and Design at the University of Bedfordshire, UK, which he obtained in 2009 through a full scholarship granted by the Egyptian Government. This scholarship was awarded in recognition of Dr. Akmal’s outstanding contributions as a teacher and practitioner of murals.
Currently serving as the Visual Arts program director at the Faculty of Arts and Design, Galala University, Dr. Akmal plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the program. His expertise and leadership ensure that students receive comprehensive training and guidance in the field of visual arts.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Akmal also serves as the director of the Alumni unit at Galala University, where he fosters connections and cultivates relationships with alumni, further enhancing the university’s network and reputation.
