Job Description:
The Senior Direct Sales and Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving revenue through direct sales initiatives and targeted marketing campaigns. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, hands-on execution, and strong relationship-building skills to effectively engage prospects and convert them into loyal customers.
Responsibilities:
· Direct Sales Strategy: Develop and implement direct sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, focusing on lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention.
· Lead Generation: Create and manage direct marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads and drive customer engagement.
· Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
· Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations that highlight value propositions and differentiate offerings.
· Performance Analysis: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing direct sales efforts.
· Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with University goals and drive sales growth.
· Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.
· Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to inform sales tactics.
· Sales Training: Mentor and train junior sales team members on best practices in direct selling and customer engagement techniques.
· Event Participation: Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to network, generate leads, and promote brand visibility.
Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
· Experience: 5+ years of experience in direct sales and marketing, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
· Skills:
o Strong understanding of direct marketing principles and techniques.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport with clients.
o Proficiency in CRM software (Zoho system is preferred) and sales analytics tools.
o Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights to inform sales strategies.
o Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
· Industry Knowledge: Experience in Education is a must and universities field is preferred.
· Certifications: Relevant sales and marketing certifications are a plus.
Working Conditions:
· This position may require occasional travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
· Flexibility for remote work may be available.
