Prof.Dr.Ashraf Haider Ghaleb interview with ِAl Masriya Channel
Prof.Dr. Ashraf Haidar Ghaleb, Acting President of Galala University, highlighted that the new universities were established as per the political orientation and the state's strategy of creating integrated cities, creating more jobs, and achieving the desired sustainable development.
He also explained that four new state universities had been established, represented by Galala University, King Salman University, Alamein International University, and New Mansoura university. These universities were established under the presidential decree issued by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, to be smart universities capable of granting competitive advantages to their graduates, while qualifying them to keep up with the requirements of the domestic and foreign labor market. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry of Higher Education and the State for Scientific Research have formed committees of the best professors in Egyptian universities, estimated at 250, to establish academic regulations and controls for the newly established state universities.
The Acting President of Galala University also touched on future programs and plans for The University, where he confirmed that the university's study programs had been approved to be competitive through the availability of 14 fields of study comprising more than 60 academic programs, taught by a select group of the best Egyptian professors and academics, working at European and American universities, but preferred to add their experiences gained over the past years to Galala University. He also explained that 54 students received the Presidential Scholarship during the first semester.
He also added that the university is in the process of establishing Galala Academy for Scientific Research, which will be a beacon for scientific research in various fields, in addition to establishing Galala University Hospital, which has 400 beds, and will be in the service of the surrounding areas of the university, from the Red Sea governorate to the governorate of Suez, where Students in the medical fields such as Medicine, Nursing, and Physical Therapy will also conduct practical training on the study world.
