Dr. Ahmed Hazem Eltanboly, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Mansoura University, Egypt, in 2001 and 2010, respectively. Dr. Eltanboly was awarded a Ph.D. scholarship at the University of Louisville, USA, where he pursued his doctoral studies from 2015 to 2019, specializing in BioImaging.
His research interests focus on developing techniques to solve various mathematical problems with physical implications, utilizing programming skills and statistical analysis. His work has been presented at numerous prestigious international conferences and published in reputable journals. Particularly noteworthy is his research on novel image analysis techniques for early disease detection, including the development of accurate diagnosing algorithms for eye diseases. His contributions have earned him awards, including first place at the annual Research Louisville 2018 meetings. Most recently, he was honored with the Best Ph.D. Dissertation award at Mansoura University in 2022.
