Dr. Mahmoud Abd Al Sadek is a Professor of Material Science in the Department of Physics at Galala University. He served as Vice-Dean for Postgraduate and Research Affairs at the Faculty of Science, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt. He earned his Ph.D. in Nanomaterials Physics from Anna University, Chennai, India 2009.
Dr. Mahmoud has authored over 90 research papers in internationally renowned journals and has an h-index 22. He has received a scientific publication award from his institution thirteen times between 2010 and 2023 and was an Erasmus Mundus Fellow at Lund University, Sweden. He has supervised 8 MSc and 6 PhD students and was awarded the Partnership and Ownership (ParOwn) initiative for a post-doctoral fellowship at Nottingham University, UK. He is the focal point for the European Union’s Erasmus Plus Program and has coordinated 6 EU-funded projects. His teaching interests include Nanotechnology, Renewable Energy, and modern educational methods.
