Dr. Mohamed Ghetas holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University, Egypt, obtained in 1999. He furthered his education by earning a master’s degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia, in 2013, followed by a Ph.D. in computer sciences from USM in 2017.
Dr. Ghetas embarked on his academic journey as a teaching assistant at the Department of Grid Computing, Faculty of Computer Science, USM University, in 2014. Subsequently, he served as a research assistant at the Cloud Computing Lab, Faculty of Computer Science, USM University, in 2015. His professional experience also includes positions at the Higher Institute of Engineering in Tanta and Thebes Academy.
In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Ghetas assumed leadership roles such as head of computer science at the Faculty of Computer Science, Nahda University (NUB), Egypt, from 2021 to 2022, and vice dean of the faculty for the academic year 2022/2023. Currently, he serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Galala University, Egypt.
Dr. Ghetas has made notable contributions to research, with publications in cloud computing and artificial intelligence. His research interests encompass a diverse range of topics, including Federated Learning, Deep Learning, Distributed Systems, Sentiment Analysis and Modeling, Optimization Algorithms, and Fog Computing. Additionally, he actively participates as a reviewer for several academic journals.
