Biography

Reem Hesham is a distinguished interior architect and designer with extensive experience in residential and hospitality spaces. As the Program Director of Interior Architecture at Galala University, she brings a passion for fostering creativity and innovation in design. Reem’s work focuses on the perception of interior architecture, blending functionality with aesthetics to create spaces that inspire and serve.

Born in Cairo in 1989, Reem earned her Ph.D. in Interior Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University in 2019. She has been a faculty member there since 2012, contributing to the academic and creative growth of countless students. At Galala University, she teaches undergraduate courses, including Principles of Interior Design, Design Studio, Perspective, Anthropometry, and Ergonomics.

Reem’s teaching philosophy emphasizes learning through hands-on experience, critical thinking, and collaboration. She is committed to nurturing diversity and inclusion in the classroom while equipping students with practical skills. Her approach encourages students to develop their unique creative voices and tackle design challenges with a thoughtful perspective, prioritizing functionality, sustainability, and cultural relevance.

Reem Hesham is not just an educator but a visionary who inspires her students to imagine and innovate, preparing them to shape the future of interior design.
