Dr. Shaimaa Masry holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Essex, UK, as well as an MBA with an IT-Track from Oracle Academy, and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. Additionally, she is certified as an Advanced Data Analyst and holds several other professional development certificates. Dr. Masry’s areas of interest include data science, business analytics, business intelligence, digitalization, and computational finance.
During her doctoral studies, Dr. Masry was involved in the High Frequency Finance (HFF) project, which involved the processing and analysis of nearly 140 million tick-by-tick transactions on the OANDA Foreign exchange platform. Her work on developing a double-auction Java simulator earned her the ‘David Norman Prize’ award.
Dr. Masry has published multiple papers in renowned international conferences and journals, including Taylor and Francis and Springer. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Informatics and has also provided consultancy services for various business information systems projects in Egyptian organizations.
