Under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, GU’s Field of Media Production students participated in the Arab Media Youth Leaders’ Forum that kicked off last Sunday, February 26th, in Cairo. The event, which is part of the Arab Youth Year, aims at promoting collaboration and the exchanging of ideas among media youth leaders across the Arab world. In his opening speech, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports and head of the executive office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, emphasized the importance of refining the skills and experiences of young media professionals, who represent the future of the nation. The forum also aims at raising awareness, conveying sound thought, and searching for mechanisms for correct information, while promoting Arab identity and culture. Dr. Sobhi urged youth participants to work hard and dedicate themselves to advancing the Arab world by seeking important information, keeping up with modern technology, and presenting the right vision.
During the Arab Media Youth Leaders’ Forum, students of Media Production field at GU showcased their project, “Media Club,” which was developed in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This project aims at providing a platform for young media enthusiasts to present their skills and creativity and to collaborate on media projects that promote Arab identity and culture. The Media Club project represents an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience and to contribute to the development of the media industry in the Arab world.
